- Notifications: every price alert app I own is set to vibrate. My phone has not been silent since 2022.
- Vocabulary: I have said 'safe-haven flows' out loud, unprompted, at a wedding.
- Sleep: the New York close is my bedtime story. The Asian open is my alarm.
I coordinate badminton like it's a board meeting.
Every week I send a flurry of messages to assemble a court, two opponents, and the will to leave the house. The group chat is a masterclass in logistics that would make any operations team weep. The badminton itself is, frankly, average. The coordination is elite.
Replies to the court booking within nine seconds. Has never once flaked. Suspiciously good at the net.
Confirms, un-confirms, then shows up anyway with a brand-new racket and a theory about my grip.
Standing fixture: we lock a court most weeks and I treat the scheduling thread with the same urgency as a gold flash alert. The shuttlecock does not care about my Sharpe ratio, and that is exactly why I love it.
